Description
The pipe cap, also known as the head, is a pipe fitting welded on the pipe end or installed on the external thread of the pipe end to cap the pipe. It is used to close the pipeline and has the same function as the pipe plug. Generally, the cap is convex, including hemispherical cap, elliptical cap, dished cap and spherical cap. There are about seventeen kinds of pipe caps according to the pressure rating, and the standard pressure rating of pipes. The grades include sch5s, sch10s, sch10, sch20, sch30, sch40s, STD, sch40, sch60, sch80s, XS: sch80, schh100, sch120, sch140, sch160, XXS; the most commonly used ones are STD and XS.
Comparison of pipe cap and head
